Why do people hate reading and writing? My guess is that they haven't been taught properly to appreciate these subjects. When I was little, my mother would read to me daily from an assortment of books, then take me to the library to check out five to ten short chapter books. From there, I began to read bigger, thicker books, and when I was twelve, began to write fantasy stories and poems.
Writing is what helps me to stimulate my creative juices so that I won't be those people who say proudly,
"Writing is stupid......I hate writing"
OR...
"Reading is dumb.....I hate books....etc...."
Writing is the flame that burns deep inside me, and I hope, in the years to come, that that flame will become stronger, brighter, and more fiery until it is a inferno, lodged deeply within my soul.
